Alireza Firouzja
From Conservapedia
Alireza Firouzja (b. 2003) is a phenomenal chess player from Iran who is considered by some to be the heir apparent to the world championship held by Magnus Carlsen. Firouzja moved to France and became its citizen in order to overcome restrictions in Iran against competing against players from Israel.
Firouzja came in second place in the Norway chess supertournament of September 2021, behind only Carlsen and ahead of the #2 player in the world, Ian Nepomniachtchi.
