Amish in New Mexico began in 2020 with one family and then grew to community status (usually a minimum of three families) by 2022.[1]
The Amish community is just over the border from Ortiz, Colorado, in northern New Mexico. Temperatures are cold enough to make plentiful ice in the wintertime there, dipping close to zero degrees Fahrenheit in the lows.
