An August 2 primary is being held in 2022 in these states, which include several swing states:
- Arizona (key races for governor and a U.S. Senate seat)

- Missouri (a hotly contested primary for an open U.S. Senate seat)
- Ohio (state legislature)
- Washington
Trump has endorsed 20 candidates in primary elections on August 2:[1]
- Arizona (6 endorsements)
- Kansas (3 endorsements)
- Michigan (8 endorsements)
- Missouri (2 endorsements)
- Washington (2 endorsements)
Results
Trump won big:
- MO: Eric Schmitt
- KS: Kris Kobach
- MI: John Gibbs, Tudor Dixon, and Matt Maddock
- WA: Joe Kent
- AZ: Blake Masters, Kari Lake, Mark Finchem, Abraham Hamadeh, Wendy Rogers, Janae Shamp, Paul Gosar, Eli Crane, and David Schweikert
In Michigan, nominees for the crucial positions of Attorney General and Secretary of State were not on the August 2 ballot. They will be determined at the Republican state convention to be held in Lansing on August 27. Trump-endorsed candidates Matthew DePerno and Kristina Karamo are considered to be shoo-ins at the convention.
As The Hill explains:
