Bolivarian Alliance for the Americas

The Bolivarian Alliance of the Americas (Alianza Bolivariana para los Pueblos de Nuestra América in Spanish) is an anti-American international organization, founded by late Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chávez. Chávez justified that the Free Trade Area of the Americas (ALCA) is an "instrument of imperialism".

The biggest part of the members of ALBA are leftist socialist states:
- Antigua and Barbuda
- Bolivia
- Dominica
- Ecuador
- Cuba
- Nicaragua
- St. Vincent and the Grenadines
- Venezuela
Observer members are:
Honduras was also a member, but after the electoral victory of the conservative National Party of Honduras, it left the organization.
