Burgess Meredith

Burgess Meredith (born Oliver Burgess Meredith, November 16, 1907 – September 9, 1997) was an American actor prominently known for three series:

• having appeared in four separate episodes of the TV series The Twilight Zone (tied with Jack Klugman – notable in his own right as a Broadway and TV actor – for the most appearances on the series; two of the episodes - Time Enough at Last and The Obsolete Man are considered among the tops in the series),
• portraying The Penguin in the 1960s Batman TV series, and
• as trainer Mickey Goldmill in the Rocky movie franchise.
