Biznistry
Biznistry is a type of social enterprise where business profits are used for missionary work. It is defined as “a self-sustaining enterprise commissioned for a Kingdom purpose, operating according to Biblical principles, integrating ministry at every level, and releasing an ongoing flow of funds for further ministry advancement.”[5] Profits are used for “funding local places of worship and networks designed to help biznistry growth, to funding mission trips to other countries.”[3]

One Bistro, a Miamisburg, Ohio restaurant owned by Robert Adamson, has a “Our Neighbors Eat” program. Patrons are asked to pay a little extra with their meal to subsidize a needy patron’s meal. The needy patron is then asked to volunteer in the kitchen. The Biznistry serves to provide meals to heroin addicts and indigent in the area.[3] HVAC.com, a heating and cooling e-tailer, uses business profits to support Back2Back Ministries.
