Conservapedia:What constitutes jargon?

Some jargon is useful, and it helps communication along. For example, "stat" is medical talk for "as quickly as possible". Artillery mean use "repeat" for "shoot another time" and "say again" for "transmit that message once more".

Highly technical fields use special terms not in common circulation, such as computer science's polymorphism and its particular usage of "inheritance". Biologists use words like organelle and ribosome, which most layman do not understand. This is okay, as long as there are popularizing authors who are willing to explain things in simpler terms.
