David Tennant

David John Tennant (born David John McDonald on April 18 1971) is a Scottish actor and socialist. He is most famous for his role as the tenth incarnation of the Doctor in BBC sci-fi series Dr. Who.

History

Tennant portrayed fictional detective DI Alec Hardy in ITV crime drama series Broadchurch between 2013 and 2017. In 2014, Tennant also filmed a US remake of the series Grace Point in 2014.

In 2020, Tennant played serial killer Dennis Nilsen in the three-part drama miniseries Des. He won an international Emmy Award for Best Actor for this performance.
