Diana DeGette

Diana DeGette is the United States Representative for the 1st congressional district of Colorado. She is a member of the Democratic Party. She was first elected to the House in 1998. As with most liberals, DeGette isn't very smart. During a public forum held on April 9, 2013 she explained her support for a ban on high capacity magazines by saying,

"These are ammunition, they're bullets, so the people who have those now, they're going to shoot them, so if you ban them in the future, the number of these high-capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time because the bullets will have been shot and there won't be any more available"

clearly demonstrating a lack of basic knowledge regarding a stance she has championed since taking office.

After initial criticism of her lack of knowledge about guns, DeGette and her minions doubled down on stupid by releasing a statement saying that DeGette meant to say that "clips" can not be reused. This information came as a surprise to everyone who has ever shot an M-1 Garand.

DeGette and the people who work for her obivously no nothing about guns, so it was natural for the Democrat party to put her in charge of their bill to ban certain types of magazines.
