Dmitry Sergeevich Peskov (b. October 17, 1967) is the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation and Press Secretary of the President as of 2024.

Peskov graduated from the Institute of Asian and African Studies at the Lomonosov Moscow State University with a degree in Oriental studies and translation assistant in 1989 and joined the Ministry of Foreign Affair.

From 1990 to 1994 he was the Assistant on duty, attache, and Third Secretary of the Russian Embassy in Turkey (Ankara). From 1996 to 2000 he was the Second and then First Secretary of the Russian Embassy in Turkey (Ankara). In 2000 he became head of the Media Relations Department and First Deputy Head of the Press Service of the President of the Russian Federation, the Deputy Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation. From 2004 to 2008 he became the First Deputy Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation.

On April 25, 2008 he was appointed Press Secretary of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation – Deputy Head of the Government Staff of the Russian Federation.

On May 21, 2012 Peskov became Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation-Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation.
