Jon Beason
Jon Beason was a National Football League linebacker for the Carolina Panthers. He was born on January 14, 1985. Jon is 6 feet tall and weighs 236 pounds. While attending the University of Miami, he major in business management.
College Football
A team leader and reckless player on the football field, Beason played as a linebacker for the Miami Hurricanes from 2004-2006 (he sat out most of 2003 with an injury). He originally started his career with Miami as a fullback, but in 2004 was moved to outside linebacker for the Hurricanes, where he stayed for the rest of his collegiate career. In total, Beason played in 38 games with Miami (22 starts) and made 171 tackles (104 solos), one interception and 2½ sacks.
NFL career
In 2007, Beason was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the first round (25th overall pick) of the 2007 NFL Draft.
