Key Junctures in the Biblical History of Mankind

The Bible is a moral,scientific,and historical document, recording and revealing very real truths to humanity throughout the centuries in which it was compiled. There are roughly eight identifiable junctures in this document where events which have changed humanity ever-after have occurred.

Creation of the Universe

In Genesis 1:1, God created heaven and earth

Creation of Life and Souls

In Genesis 1:26-27, God created Man, Women, and Soul by "breathing life" into the forms of the newly created Man and then Woman.

Rebellion of Mankind

In Genesis 3:1-15, Eve ate of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil and passed it to her husband, Adam, who also ate, and brought sin into the world, causing the degradation of God's perfect creation ( at that point) See:Cain's wife.

Revelation of God through the patriarchs

Abraham,Isaac,Jacob,Israel, the founding fathers of the Jewish nation, who were vehicles for the revelation of God's plans.

Appearance of God in History through the Israelite Kingdom

The mediation of God in the world in the Old Testament

Appearance of God in history through his Son Jesus the Christ

John 3:17, God sent not his son to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. Man's sin price became payable.

The resurrection of Christ

Jesus was crucified, and resurrected on the third day, and recorded by eyewitness' doing so.

Day of Pentecost

"Jesus had told his apostles, "And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high" (Luke 24: 49)...The day of Pentecost in Acts 2 fulfilled many kingdom and salvation prophecies (cp. Joel 2: 28-32; Isa. 2: 2, 3, see Acts 2: 16-47). The apostles were baptized in the Holy Spirit to enable them to execute their commission..."[1]
