Kim Darroch
From Conservapedia
Sir Kim Darroch was the British Ambassador to the United States.[1]
In July 2019, the UK's Mail on Sunday newspaper published some leaked memos, allegedly written by Ambassador Darroch. These were highly critical of President Donald Trump and his Administration.[2] President Trump announced he would no longer deal with the ambassador as a result.[3] Nigel Farage, a prominent British conservative leader, criticized Darroch as a Europhile and globalist.[4]
UK Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt said that the leaked memos do not represent the British government's view.[5]
Kim Darroch resigned as UK ambassador to the US on July 10, 2019, saying: "The current situation is making it impossible for me to carry out my role as I would like."[6]
