L. Sarah DeMerchant
Laquitta Shantell Martel DeMerchant, known as L. Sarah DeMerchant (born January 21, 1974),[1] is a liberal politician from heavily Democratic Houston, Texas. She now resides in suburban Fort Bend County, which also trends to the left. She holds many extremist leftist views.[2]
Contents
Election bid
DeMerchant ran unsuccessfully in 2016 for Texas State Representative District 26, when Hillary Rodham Clinton swept Harris County in the presidential contest against Donald Trump.
Radical issues
DeMerchant has also threatened to hold the Republican state accountable for conservative policies, especially her intense criticism of Greg Abbott, her promotion of Joe Biden, Black Lives Matter, and of the Chinese Communist regime, as seen in her Facebook page.[3] She is also a sharp promoter of Turn Texas Blue.
DeMerchant is a pro-abortion, feminist, radical, far-left, pro-China extremist.[4]
Abortion extremist
DeMerchant was endorsed by progressive, radical abortion groups[5][6], who want to force abortions, in order to slow down population growth through birth control.
Anti-school choice; pro-atheism
Despite DeMerchant herself being educated in public schools (at that time, there wasn't Common Core or atheistic training), DeMerchant promotes the broken public schoo] system[7] that Barack Obama started in 2010 when he forced Common Core into public schools nationwide, which means that she would do nothing with the atheism and the Common Core issue in schools, but she would only work to solidify atheistic training and to destroy school choice, which is helpful to minority communities. Her boasting of her own education in public schools is an attempt to hide and to solidify the Common Core and the atheistic training (training people there is no God), and to destroy school choice.
Gun control
The Bloomberg-owned Everytown for Gun Safety endorsed L. Sarah DeMerchant[8], and she wants more gun control, and for it, she is receiving out-of-state donations, especially from Mike Bloomberg and George Soros.[9]
Healthcare extremism
DeMerchant wants to promote the Affordable Care Act and Medicare/Medicaid for All in a radical way,[10] which would force a government takeover of people's healthcare, and eliminate private health insurance.
