The Toronto Maple Leafs are a professional ice hockey team based in Toronto, Ontario. The Maple Leafs were named in 1927 but date back to the founding of the NHL, when they were known as the Toronto Arenas. The Maple Leafs play in the Northeast Division of the Eastern Conference at the Air Canada Centre, also the home of the Toronto Raptors. The Maple Leafs (also know to their fans as "The Buds") have won 13 Stanley Cups however their last win was in 1966-67. Their games are televised by Leafs TV and Rogers Sports Net.[1] Radio coverage is provided by CFMJ 640AM. They have recently acquired defenceman Dion Phaneuf from the Calgary Flames and Stanley Cup winning goaltender Jean Sebastian Giguere from the Anaheim Ducks. Since acquiring these players the Leafs have been doing better but they are still one of the worst teams in the league and are last in their division.
