Melanie Ann Stansbury (born January 31, 1979) is an American politician from Democrat party, serving as the U.S. representative from New Mexico's 1st congressional district since 2021. The district includes most of Albuquerque, along with most of its suburbs. she was formerly a member of the New Mexico House of Representatives from the 28th district. Stansbury is a socialist who support Medicare For All and canceling students debt.[1] She also support gun control and abortion and federal legalization of Marijuana.[2]
