The New Seven Wonders of the World are seven man-made structures chosen by public vote to represent global heritage throughout history. The selections were announced on 7 July 2007. The idea was inspired by the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
The New Seven Wonders of the World are:
- The Taj Mahal, India
- The statue of Christ Redeemer, Brazil
- Chichen Itza, Mexico
- Petra, Jordan
- The Great Wall of China, China
- Machu Picchu, Peru
- The Colosseum, Italy
