Nikki Snyder is a registered nurse, pro-Trump Republican, and a current member of the Michigan State Board of Education. She unsuccessfully ran for the U.S. House of Representatives from Michigan's 8th district to unseat establishment Democrat Elissa Slotkin.

2020 U.S. House election in Michigan's 8th district
It was announced in October 2019 that Snyder was running for the United States House of Representatives to challenge Democrat incumbent Elissa Slotkin.[1] However, she failed to garner enough petition signatures and failed to qualify for the ballot.[2]
