Public Relations
From Conservapedia
Public relations (P.R.) is the set of ongoing activities that ensure an organization or person has a strong public image.[1] Modern political consultants often use the term "messaging".
History
The phrase "public relations" was invented by Edward Bernays after the horrific atrocities committed in Nazi Germany. Bernays said: "Propaganda got to be a bad word because of the Germans using it. So what I did was try to find some other words so we found the word 'Council on Public Relations'."[2]
Bernays was of the belief that "if you could use propaganda for war you could certainly use it for peace."[2]
