RealClearPolitics is an online organization based in Chicago, Illinois. Founded by John McIntyre and Tom Bevan in 2000, the website is a comprehensive, real-time, and independent political network.[1] The site features all aspects of politics, from polling, analysis, and news to commentary, policy, and world affairs. In a short amount of time, RCP has achieved a solid reputation as a journalistic favorite, and is famous for its aggregation of various polling agencies to show average performances of candidates.

Its homepage includes links to a selection of articles, most of which are located on other websites, while a few are written by RCP's own staff. The list of articles tends to alternate between right and left wing sources.[2]

RCP's 2016 projections for the presidential election that year were more accurate than the "reputable" Cook Political Report,[3][4] and this may likely be the case for the 2020 U.S. presidential election.
