The Resolution class was a British nuclear-powered and nuclear-armed submarine. There were four boats named Resolution, Repulse, Renown and Revenge. They were introduced in 1964 and armed with Polaris missiles.[1] The boats were withdrawn in 1996[2] and they are laid up awaiting dismantling.[3] They have been replaced by the Vanguard-class submarine.
