Ringo Starr

Ringo Starr, born Richard Starkey in 1940, was the drummer for the English rock music group, The Beatles. Unlike the other members, Starr seldom wrote songs for the band. However, he wrote a plethora of songs for his solo career with a self-created band, Ringo Starr and His All Star Band. Following his stint with the Beatles, Starr took up acting, notably in the earlier episodes of the series, "Thomas the Tank Engine". He was the oldest member of the Beatles, and as of 2010, he was 70 years old.
