Sheila Dixon

Sheila Ann Dixon (born December 27, 1953) is the former Mayor of Baltimore, Maryland, having been sworn in upon the resignation of Martin O'Malley to become Governor, and was elected to a term in her own right in 2007. She is a member of the Democratic Party and the city's first female mayor.

Dixon resigned on January 6, 2010 after a conviction of fraudulent misappropriation, having taken gift cards donated to the poor for personal use.[1] She was an active member of the gub-grabbing liberal organization Mayors Against Illegal Guns.
