Sherman, Texas

Sherman is a city in Texas. It is located immediately to the south of Denison, north of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex in the region of Texas commonly known as Texoma or Texomaland (named for nearby Lake Texoma, a large and popular lake on the Texas-Oklahoma border).

It is the county seat of Grayson County.

Austin College, a small university affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA), is located in Sherman, as is a branch campus of Grayson College (a community college based in neighboring Denison).
