Sinquefield Cup

The Sinquefield Cup is annual invitation-only classical chess tournament typically held in August at the Chess Club and Scholastic Center of Saint Louis, which is located in the so-called "Central West End" area.[1]

This tournament has been run annually since 2013 and attracts the top players in the world. It is scheduled to be held next on August 15–30, 2019. Prize money has increased to $325,000, including $90,000 for 1st place and $60,000 for 2nd place.

In some years it has had the highest average chess \rating of contestants than any other tournament.
