Smaug

Smaug is a dragon in J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth world, appearing in The Hobbit.
In T.A. 2770, Smaug attacked the Lonely Mountain, home to Durin's Dwarves, and drove them away. He took the Lonely Mountain as his home and created a hoard from the Dwarven treasures. In T.A. 2941, as told in The Hobbit, the Smaug was slain by Bard the Bowman.
