The precise equation for time dilation can be obtained without any notion of light or relativity.
This has never been done before, and so I present a revolutionary approach to fundamental physics. It does not argue or disprove any existing physics, and you could say that it doesn't introduce new physics either. Yet the idea is very simple and it produces mathematical results that unite Relativity, Quantum Theory and Gravity.
This approach is based on information theory. It is unlike any attempts to use information theory before. This is not 'it from bit', or 'universe is a computer' etc. This is a fundamental application of information axioms to physics, i.e. it ''has to be so''.

Based on this, the famous equation involving sqrt(c^2-v^2) can be derived without any notion of the speed of light or relativity. How is this even possible? The proof is simple and is a one-page PDF document: [http://msg2act.com/physics/simpleSRDerivation.pdf one page proof of SR time dilation].
A full theory has been accepted for publishing in GED (Galilean Electrodynamics) and the [http://msg2act.com/physics/ComputivityOnline.pdf current version can be found here].
The theory presented derives Einstein's results from SR and GR (such as time dilation and mass increase). The theory finds a single cause for time dilation. Both SR and GR time dilation are derived without any notion of light, relativity or gravity.
The same informational approach derives also the principle of uncertainty, i.e. it unites what's known as relativity and quantum mechanics.
Newtonian gravity is found as a consequence of informational loss and is derived in the paper.
Note that exact equations of time dilation (both SR/GR), SR mass increase, principle of uncertainty and Newtonian gravity are ''derived'' in as little as 8 pages. There are no postulates or principles to begin with. The reasoning is simple without mind-boggling precepts or results. All the aforementioned results are derived as limiting cases. In other words, I present more generic equations. Einsteins equations are a special case. As are those of Quantum mechanics, and Newtonian gravity.
The practical implications of this theory are staggering. While this theory still conforms to all known experiments, it points to novel technologies.
