| | + | ::::::Actually, your argument doesn't apply in my case, because I never supported apply formal equivalence with regards to suffixes and tenses. I am only applying formal equivalence to the root words themselves, not to tense, grammar, and suffixes. I try to have the same Hebrew word "rabah" translated with a root word of "increase" all throughout the Bible, for example: |

| | + | ::::::However, depending on the sentence structure, it can be written increase, the increase, increased, or increasingly. I support changing tense and suffixes as appropriate to avoid being too rigid, and allow for easy readability. I also am putting in conjunctions like are, but, or, and the (which I do think is a conjunction) as necessary to link words, although I try to keep this minimal. At any rate, I'm not trying to be that rigid with regards to tense and suffixes. I'm just trying to make sure the Strong's lexicon root words are translated the same throughout the Bible, and adopting a "change as needed" approach to tenses, suffixes, and conjunctions. |

| | + | ::::::You do provide interesting points and an informative article relating to formal vs. dynamic equivalence, but they don't quite apply to the translation I'm making right now given its idiosyncracies. --[[User:JZambrano|Joshua Zambrano]] 09:09, 4 September 2012 (EDT) |
