After [[God]] discovered what they had done he cast them our of the garden and cursed mankind. The Bible doesn't explain why God saw fit to punish Adam & Eve for disobeying Him (by eating the Forbidden Fruit & thus gaining the knowledge of Good & Evil) when it's clear Adam & Eve couldn't have known that disobeying God was wrong ( evil) until after they had eaten the fruit.
