The GT had a mid rear mounted 5.4 liter supercharged V8 with two banks of DOHCs.  It produced 550 hp through a six speed manual transmission, giving it 333hp/ton.  It did 0-60 in less than three seconds and the quarter mile in 11 seconds.  It lapped Willow Springs in a time of 1.37.
