As far as I can tell Democrats have been using the term for the last 5-6 years. They use the phrase every time the GOP makes an effort to curtail legal abortions, resist democratic proposals for increased contraception funding, or attempt to defund groups like Planned Parenthood. The Republicans are not the only group who (allegedly) are waging a war on women. What about the Islamic world? Even a NY Times op-ed writer admits:
