HMS Victory is today permanently kept in dock at [[Portsmouth]] where she attracts tens of thousands of visitors annually. As a commissioned vessel of her majesty's Royal Navy in active service, she could even today be made ready for action (if any arose for which she was especially suited) at short notice. However such actions have been restricted in recent years to ceremonial salutes at the most important royal occasions; Victory last performed this duty at the coronation of Queen [[Elizabeth II]].
