'''Comment''': Since the WashingtonDC ShotSpotter supposedly helped the cops find the body of Seth Rich, I doubt the silencer hypothesis. Lack of a silencer might indicate a non-professional shooting, though I don't think silencers really silence -- I think they are not very good at that really (movies being fantasy) -- but in my ignorance I am thinking that a silencer might modify the sound enough to defeat the ShotSpotter. The phone records will probably tell us more. I am thinking that probably there was some time gap between the time when Seth stopped talking to his girlfriend & the time he got shot. If he turned off his phone suddenly, that also leads me to think that it is likely that he knew whoever was approaching him, not that such constitutes proof. For I would think that if Seth saw attackers coming, he would have told the girlfriend & left the phone on -- it may turn out that he did leave the phone going; just have to wait to find out. :According to the Washington Post's cell phone log, Seth hung up with Kelsey Mulka at about 4:19. ShotSpotter says he was shot at 4:19:43. So I have no idea how anyone thinks that there were 19 minutes between hangup & shooting. BTW, by saying about 4:19 for hangup, the Wash Post raises doubt on its cell phone data. I don't know from where they got it, but a cell phone hangup should be precise, not "about" if cell service records were used.
