Gus S. Mijales (July 11, 1934 &ndash February 27, 2018) was businessman in Shreveport, Louisiana, who was a confidante of [[Democratic Party|a] Governor Edwin Edwards. His family is the owner of Farmers Seafood which began operations in 1918.

In the middle 1980s, Mijales and Edwards were co-defendants when the then governor was charged with using his influence to gain state approval for certain nursing home and hospital projects. After a mistrial, all the defendants were acquitted in a second trial in 1986. In 1995, however, Mijalis served twenty months in federal prison for various financial crimes.
