In October 2016 Toscas was contacted by NY Prosecutors (possibly Preet Bharara) about the Weiner investigation re: HRC/Huma emails on [[Weinergate|Weiner's laptop]]. Toscas contacted [[Peter Strzok]] at the [[FBI]] forcing Deputy [[Andy McCabe]] to tell Director [[James Comey]] of the emails. McCabe knew of the situation and sat on the emails for three weeks, hoping to run out the clock before election day and assuming [[Hillary Clinton]] would win.
