|One of the most conservative pro-military and pro-American cartoons ever made. G.I. Joe is the code name for America's special task force, fighting against Cobra, the evil terrorist organization bent on world domination. The show carries themes of patriotism, friendship, and teamwork. The show's depiction of Cobra shows terrorism in a negative light, with Cobra using common terrorist tactics, such as extortion. The episode "20 questions" paints the mainstream media in a negative light, with the media accusing the G.I. Joes of being a waste of taxpayer money and a conspiracy theorist claiming that Cobra is fake and their battles are staged (like claiming that 9/11 was an inside job to start the War on Terror).
