San Francisco is home to two major professional sports teams: the [[San Francisco Giants]] [[baseball]] team and the [[San Francisco 49ers]] [[football]] team.  The [[Golden State Warriors]] plan to move from Oakland back to San Francisco in 2019 (when the team moved to the West Coast they were originally located in San Francisco) but will retain their team name (it is the only franchise among the four major professional sports to use a state nickname).
