/* Significance */
Carter Page was paid FBI informant up to 10 days before he volunteered for the Trump campaign. Russian intelligence had approached Page 2013. Page reported the approached to the FBI and agreed to work with the FBI, wearing a wire, to apprehend Russian intelligence officers. The initial 2013 approach was used in the FISA application to allege that Page was an "agent of a foreign power," yet left out all work Page did for the FBI, the fact that he was paid by the FBI, and the fact that he was thanked publicly for helping to secure a conviction of a Russian while keeping his identity secret.
Page was shamefully betrayed when his name was leaked, with an outrageous accusation that he was Russian spy when in fact he worked for the FBI to help jail a Russian spy, and evidence on two others who fled the country. All this was known to the Senate Intel Committee, [[BuszFeed]], the ''Washington Post'', the ''New York Times'' and other [[mainstream media]], yet they went forward with a !!fake news]] Russia collusion narrative to undermine the Trump presidency, and hide wrongdoing in the Obama [[intelligence community]].
