It had a supposed "supranational parliament," elected by popular vote from member states since 1958, with no real power for its first 50 years, awaiting the day a younger generation could be brainwashed in [[public school]]s into believing that the institution had legitimacy and actual "supranational" power.  Its existence and ultimate success or failure is entirely dependent on the outcome of the [[War on Sovereignty]] being waged by liberal elites and globalists.  The 2019 elections became pivotal to the outcome.
