February 6, 1911- June 5, 2004.  The fortieth President of the United States from 1981-1989.  Considered by many to be the greatest Conservative American [[President]], Ronald Reagan's greatest accomplishments include leading America peacefully through the [[Cold War]], reducing the size of the federal government, lowering [[taxes]], promoting a free economy and staunchly opposing socialism and communism.  Reagan also served two terms as governor of [[California]] from 1967–1975.

In one of his most famous challenges to Soviet Communism in Europe, he publicly uttered the words, "Mr. [[Mikhail Gorbachev|Gorbachev]], tear down this wall," before the tearing down of the [[Berlin Wall]] separating East and West Germany. He also introduced the idea of "[[Reaganomics]]" in which the rich would supposedly spend money which would trickle down to the poor.
