::::::Correction: We do not have a desegregation article. It's a redirect to this page. However long the Biden/Harris fight takes, we most likely will need a separate desegregation article. Then Busing can be moved there. RobSDeep Six the Deep State! 12:44, 29 June 2019 (EDT)

An aside
Fair housing laws and anti-discrimination in employment did more to desegregate schools long term than forced busing.
Affirmative action, like forced busing, is a vestige of liberal activism from the 1960s. Like busing, it's not enough to end discrimination in hiring, or allow parents to live in whichever school district they desire. Liberal activists want change now by the heavy hand of government. If Biden wants to fight the segregationist label, I'm prepared. He calls himself a "social planner" in his 1975 NPR interview. What is a "social planner"? Begin reading Hayek's Road to Serfdom, a critique of "economic planners", to grasp the background.
