:David, WP uses "copyright violation" to delete objectionable articles without going through the Articles for Deletion process, which is usually rigged against the challenged article anyway but takes some time to complete. The Blaylock article was on WP for ten or more years. There were no challenges to the content. Nor did anyone claim the material was in violation of copyright. ::So I've heard. You're right...facts themselves cannot be copyrighted. However, when someone writes about those facts that text can be copyrighted. Then if someone else copies that text and uses it as their own, it is plagiarism. So, I'm not too concerned specifically about WP deleting the article, but I am concerned that portions of this exact text is also published elsewhere on the world wide web.
