:The passage is self-explanatory. The six is the number of man. Three is the number of God. 3 sixes is the god-man, or the "beast", i.e. a man in the flesh without the spirit of God is a beast. A beast who thinks he's God and worships himslef (worships the creature or beast more than the creator) and behave's himself proudly against God is a god-man, with the "mark of the beast".
