::A weird question.  Possibly Marx, though ethnically Jewish, because he was  educated  in Germany was influenced by the Bible – I know little about him, having never read his biography, or Das Kapital.  Christian socialism is based on the New Testament, the word of Christ, though it may have  been influenced by Marx's criticism of the immoral excesses of some capitalists: those who worship Mammon.  --Timber2 (talk) 19:25, 16 May 2020 (EDT)

:::Generally speaking, the claim so-called Christian socialism is based on the Book of Acts, "they held all things in common" (the root word of communism). Christ did not speak these words, neither was it God-ordained, and soon failed. RobSLive Free or Die 19:39, 16 May 2020 (EDT)

::::Communism would never have arisen but for those capitalists who worshipped Mammon. Capitalism is an essential, even God-given, creative and imaginative energy. Many capitalists have greatly enriched the world, the Bloomberg Philanthropies and the Getty Foundation come to mind. Sadly there are others who pervert their divine gift, and who, sadly, suffer a neurotic obsession with accumulating personal wealth. Christ preached love and sharing with others (not communism), and there are some amongst the wealthy that follow his example. We do share all things in common. Humility is another basic tenet of Christianity. Immoral, wealth obsessed individuals, however, believe that any sharing – and caring – is a sign of weakness. You still seem to be unable to separate socialism, especially Christian socialism, from communism. But I appreciate that it's hard changing a habit of a lifetime.
