→‎Christian socialism: You remain confused to my mind

Many capitalists have greatly enriched the world, the [https://www.bloomberg.org Bloomberg Philanthropies] and the [https://www.getty.edu/foundation/ Getty Foundation] come to mind. Sadly there are others who pervert their divine gift, and who, sadly, suffer a neurotic obsession with accumulating personal wealth. Christ preached love and sharing with others (not communism), and there are some amongst the wealthy that follow his example. We do share all things in common. Humility is another basic tenet of Christianity. Immoral, wealth obsessed individuals, however, believe that any sharing – and caring – is a sign of weakness. You still seem to be unable to separate socialism, especially Christian socialism, from communism. But I appreciate that it's hard changing a habit of a lifetime. ::::::The reference in an earlier discussion above, to  "The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics" further reveals your confusion. There use of socialist in USSR suggests that the Soviet also didn't differentiate between these two words, like many Americans. That isn't the case in the rest of the English speaking world, and I presume also many European countries. --[[User:Timber2|Timber2]] ([[User talk:Timber2|talk]]) 20:55, 16 May 2020 (EDT)
