::::::I'm no expert in this field, but I know President Trump has criticized the state for not using certain techniques to prevent fires. [https://thehill.com/homenews/news/515954-trump-speaks-with-california-governor-amid-raging-wildfires Here's an article from ''The Hill''] that seems to explain Trump's criticisms. Arson has also been mentioned as a possible cause for the fires, along with PG&E as everyone knows. My understanding is that PG&E is more or less a monopoly in much of the state and has close ties to the state government, and has declared bankruptcy. Liberal policies building towns such as Paradise in forested regions is perhaps the main reason these fires cause fatalities and evacuations, though. Conservative policies in the mold of Roosevelt, protecting national forests and parks, would help in my opinion.
