Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria is the current Pope of the [[Coptic]] church.  He has helped the Copts improve their relations with [[Israel]] by visiting [[Jerusalem]], the capital of Israel, after previous Popes avoided the city.  He spoke out in support of the successful Egyptian Revolution in 2011, aiding in the toppling the [[anti-Christian]] regime that had been ruling there, and building good relations between the Coptic Church and revolutionary government.
