Four days after the appointment of [[Robert Mueller]] as Special Counsel to investigate [[President Trump]], [[ABC News]] reported the [[fake news]] story that the [[FBI]] did not investigate the murder of Seth Rich;<ref>https://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/fbi-involved-seth-rich-case-officials/story?id=47565705</ref> however on April 23, 2021 the FBI released 68 pages of over 1,000 documents in accordance with a court order to comply with a [[Freedom of Information Act]] request. The heavily redacted documents pertain more to the [[Mueller team]] than Rich. Additionally, the FBI has been in possession of Seth Rich's laptop since the murder occurred.<ref>https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/20690299-fbi-documents-on-seth-rich</ref>
