|Four children deal with family problems and parenting. The season potrays discipline as positive, as the parents learn that a lack of discipline creates rebellious teenagers. Abortion is seen as abnormal. The only unplanned pregnancy that ends in abortion is shown to have devestating effects on the mother. The rest of the children are either adopted or raised by the parents.
That said, however, one episode had one of the characters learning how to issue an apology that can be taken as an implication that it's okay to fake apologies, with it not helping that the kid and his mother used as a basis Bill Clinton's "apology" during the Monica Lewinsky scandal.
