IMO, most people don't understand the significance of being stripped of committee assignments. A vote lon a committee is how members bring home the bacon for their districts, and trade with members on other committees for legislation to divvy up the pot. So her (and Gosar's) constituents have been not only been denied equal representation, they don't get their share of the pork, either. It's the voters who get punished, not the member.
